The Research Project
The collaborative research project STADT:up brings together 22 partners, consisting of automobile industry, suppliers, and research institutions. Supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, they have been working on the challenging task of developing continuous automated driving for urban areas and sustainable, intermodal mobility concepts for the city since January 2023.
Not only are the latest AI-based methods and data-driven models along the entire signal processing chain being researched, but also pioneering interaction concepts for continuous automated driving in the city. Building on this, experienceable driving functions are being developed, which are being tested and demonstrated in challenging inner-city traffic scenarios.
